When I have no other applications running, and using DOS in administrator mode, I have tried to diskcopy my a: disk.
However, I get an error messsage saying:

Cannot lock current drive.

Under DOS how does one lock or unlock a disk drive ??

Thanks for any help... Theodore

If you are still using a 3.5 inch floppy drive then the disks can be locked or unlocked by manually sliding a small plastic square slider in one of the corners of the floppy. When you can see through the hole the floppy is locked.

I don't know how to lock a floppy disk by typing commands in DOS so I can't help you if you have already put the disk inside the computer.
